Daniel Bilyk
Product Manager by trade, computer tinkerer by heart. I enjoy diving into the details of both the user's problem and the engineering required to solve it, ensuring we build products that are both loved and reliable. I excel at creating clarity and driving alignment across technical and non-technical teams, and I love building little tools that help people in their day-to-day.

Freelance Producer & Audio Engineer, The Ukrainians Media
Remote | 2022 - Present
- Produced several of the media's flagship podcasts, handling show evolution, audio engineering, and distribution.
- Developed internal tools and custom Slack agents to streamline editorial workflows and solve operational challenges.
Education
Technical University of Munich
B.Sc. Political Science | 2017 – 2022
- Specialized in the intersection of technology, policy, and society. Thesis assessed the impact of the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA) on Apple's core platform services. Active participant in coding challenges and courses.
National University «Kyiv Aviation Institute»
Aircraft Maintenance | 2014 – 2016
- Developed a foundational understanding of complex systems and engineering coursework.
Pet Projects
- Pet projects are my playground for testing new tech. See more at bilyk.me/projects.
- Anton (AI Assistant): Architected a Slack-based AI assistant for editorial teams using Python (Bolt/Asyncio) and OpenAI Assistants API. It uses RAG to manage knowledge bases, automates content generation from transcripts, and handles Google Drive syncing via Dockerized microservices.
- Transponster: Technically, the bot uses the ElevenLabs API, Slack API, and Google Drive API, running in a self-hosted Docker container. Practically, it is a bot that saves the editorial team numerous hours by taking an audio/video file in Slack as input and saving a transcript as both a TXT file and a Google Doc in the user folder. It also generates YouTube subtitles for the podcasts in the same step.
- Automation: I believe every problem has a solution in code or no-code. From complex birthday quest bots (simulating GTA missions) to simple Zapier/Make workflows that connect disparate services.
Hobbies
- I have a big love for cars and single-seater motorsport, tech history, and indie-rock music. I love going to live concerts, and I'd like to participate in a 6-hour endurance go-kart race in Ampfing one day.
- I started running recently, training for 15k. I'm trying to get better at taking photographs and saying 'yes' to random travels. Preferably by car. Cars are awesome.
